What You'll Actually Do
Forget sitting through weeks of PowerPoint slides. You'll start coding on day two.
We break you into small teams and assign each group a real project from our backlog. Sometimes it's fixing bugs in existing games. Sometimes it's building new features for upcoming releases.
- Week 1-2: Get familiar with our codebase and tools
- Week 3-8: Work on your assigned project with daily check-ins
- Week 9-12: User testing, iteration, and refinement
- Final week: Present your work to the full team
What We Expect From You
You don't need to be an expert, but you should have basic programming knowledge. We're not going to teach you what a variable is.
More importantly, you need to be comfortable with uncertainty. Game development means trying things that might not work. If you need constant reassurance, this probably isn't the right fit.
The schedule is demanding. Expect to put in 30-35 hours per week over three months. We run evening and weekend sessions to accommodate people with day jobs, but you'll need to manage your time carefully.
After the Program
We don't promise jobs. We don't promise income. What we offer is practical experience and connections in Taiwan's mobile game industry.
Some graduates have joined our team. Others have moved to different studios. A few decided game development wasn't for them and went in completely different directions.
What you do with the skills is up to you. We just provide the foundation and the environment to build on it.
